Mother's Day and a Knit

My computer had a mean case of internet germs so I was without my best girl for awhile. I was demoted to sharing computers with Doug and Aidan while mine was gone. The good part of that was that I got to kick butt on my knitting projects!

In less than a month, I was able to knit a size 2T dress for Eleanor. I'm in love with the results! The pattern is by Alligator Knits and is called The Elizabeth Tunic. I used hand-dyed yarn from Mosaic Moon in their Spring Sunrise colorway. I was so excited when I finished it that I had Ella try it on after her bath that night, before I even washed it. What a relief that it fits! My plan is for her to be able to wear it through the fall with a long sleeve shirt under it and jeans when she's taller. Hopefully we get a lot of wear out of it.

She wore it to church the weekend after Mother's Day since we missed church on Mother's Day thanks to me being sick. I've tried to have Doug take a photo of me with the kids each year on Mother's Day. We missed it last year but it is fun to look back on the ones we have.

  2. LOVE the dress, great job, Deborah! And what a great idea to have mother's day photos every year. It's amazing how things like that can illustrate the passing of time in a family. Thank you for sharing them.
