It's Buddy Walk Day!

Gorgeous weather predicted and a large turnout planned today for the Down Syndrome Society of Wichita's annual Buddy Walk.

Due to other major events Doug and I have on our calendar this month, we weren't sure if we'd be able to go this year. So for the first time, we did not do any fund raising or gather up a team. Other than making the 150 Buddy Walk medals we provide the walk each year, we actually got to take it easy this year. I hope we have a nice relaxing day and get to catch up with our friends from around the state.

See you there, fellow walkers!

Hope you had a great time! Our buddy walk is tomorrow and Johnny can't wait- he remembers "his friends" from last year- teenage girls who blew bubbles with him. He loved it!!

Aww, how fun! Have a great one!

It was nice, they do find the greatest volunteers and I always seem to catch a lump in my throat at times.

I love the medals! Would be nice if our local area would have done that. My team raised the most money and won Grand Marshall, but there really wasnt any recognition. My husband and I think things need to be done differently.
